Honestly, this is the really the only competition for Microsoft Exchange as far as I am concerned. If you are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, you're crazy not to get all your software and some of your hardware from TechSoup. This aftermarket firmware for certain cheap consumer wireless routers turns them into a full-fledged industrial strength Linux-based firewall/router. My preferred hardware platform for DD-WRT is the Buffalo WHR-HP-G54. This baby has a second amplifier that allows it to have unbelievable wireless range. These two together are an unbeatable combination.
